In response to the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Pakistan has expressed condemnation, stating that the ceremony reflects India's growing majoritarianism. The country's foreign office released a statement criticizing the construction of the temple on the site of the demolished Babri mosque, attributing it to a "mob of extremists" and denouncing India's superior judiciary for acquitting those responsible for the mosque's destruction.

Pakistan sees the developments over the past 31 years leading to the consecration as part of ongoing efforts to marginalize Indian Muslims socially, economically, and politically.The foreign ministry of Pakistan further asserted that the mosque's demolition is a stain on India's democracy.

It raised concerns about the alleged threat faced by other mosques, including the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi and Shahi Eidgah Mosque in Mathura. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the consecration ceremony, attended by numerous dignitaries, locals, and prominent figures. The Supreme Court of India, in 2019, acknowledged evidence of a Hindu temple's existence at the Babri site, permitting the construction of the temple and directing the allocation of a separate parcel of land for a grand mosque.
